The Bluff is a blend we created specifically to taste great on espresso. Even though it was created for espresso, it is still great on drip or as a pourover. This is one of the darkest roasts we do at Baba Java. This blend is made up of two coffees from Brazil & Colombia. This coffee has notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit, & citrus.

The Bluff is a medium-acidity coffee from Brazil, Colombia. Acidity here is a gentle brightness, not sourness. The citrus note is part of that brightness.
- A paper filter, like drip or Chemex, keeps that brightness clear.
- A French press rounds it off if you want less snap.
- EspressoWater is forced through a fine puck. This coffee is packed tight, so the sweetness and body show up in a short, strong cup.

You’ll need
- Espresso machine
- Fine grind
- Tamper
- Scale
- Dose about 18g and aim for 36g of espresso in 25 to 30 seconds.
- If the shot runs fast and tastes sharp, grind finer.
- If it chokes and tastes bitter, grind coarser.
- Serve right away. Espresso fades within a minute.
- DripA paper filter and a steady pour. This coffee is meant to taste smooth and even, without the weight of a press.
