Benti Nenka refers to the washing station that cherries were delivered in Hambela, Guji, Ethiopia. This lot is composed of cooperative farmers and is a staff favorite. The coffee undergoes a special process involving a 24-hour anaerobic fermentation before being dried in the sun on raised beds. The Benti Nenka site employs 200 people during harvest months. Organized by EDN, an independent processor and exporter of coffee, who prefinance all contributing farmers and provide educational resources, daily meals, and lodging for staff.
Heart it if you’d brew it, or pass.
