This standout coffee from one of our sourcing partners, Unblended, is absolutely dripping in flavor. One of the most expressive coffees we've roasted to date. Right off the rip, we get intense notes of orange fruits, wine, and an agave-like sweetness. Dare we say mango margarita? It finishes with a lingering note of cacao nibs, which begs us right back for another sip. Nicolle's family farm, La Esmerelda, has been in the family since 1984, and they are continuing to push their products into the spotlight with a dedication to rigorous cultivating practices, experimenting with new processing methods, and cupping and sensory training.
Heart it if you’d brew it, or pass.
Colombia Nicolle Ome Anaerobic Natural is a medium-acidity coffee from Huila, Colombia. Acidity here is a gentle brightness, not sourness. The orange fruits note is part of that brightness.
Colombia Nicolle Ome Anaerobic Natural breaks down as citrus, chocolate, caramel and winey.
Citrus×1
orange fruits
A bright, zesty edge. Lemon, orange, or grapefruit show up as sparkle, not sour coffee.
Chocolate×1
cacao nibs
Cocoa sweetness. It tastes round and familiar, especially as the cup cools.
Caramel×1
agave
Cooked sugar. Toffee, honey, or maple sit with the roast instead of tasting like fruit.
Winey×1
wine
Fermented fruit. It leans toward wine or dried fruit, with a longer, tangy finish.
