This Gesha comes from the Santa Felisa Farm in Guatemala. Established in 1904, Santa Felisa Farm has maintained the founding values of integrity, quality, loyalty and justice. The Farm is now run by the fourth generation siblings under the guidance of the visionary agronomist, ecologist & Q-Grader Anabella Meneses. Since 2010, Anabella has been researching innovative methods to develop different flavors during the fermentation and drying process. This dedication and passion was rewarded with the 1st place prize in the 2017 Cup of Excellence. We are proud of being partners with smallholder farmers like Santa Felisa. Their commitment to quality, gender inclusion, the environment, and the communities around the farm inspires us to keep going forward.
Heart it if you’d brew it, or pass.
Guatemala Santa Felisa African Gesha Washed is a medium-acidity coffee from Acatenango Valley, Guatemala. Acidity here is a gentle brightness, not sourness. The lime candy note is part of that brightness.
Guatemala Santa Felisa African Gesha Washed breaks down as citrus, caramel and floral.
Citrus×1
lime candy
A bright, zesty edge. Lemon, orange, or grapefruit show up as sparkle, not sour coffee.
Caramel×1
honeycomb
Cooked sugar. Toffee, honey, or maple sit with the roast instead of tasting like fruit.
Floral×1
jasmine
Light perfume. Jasmine, rose, or blossom sits high in the aroma and is easiest to taste in a clean cup.
